Our Story
Platanos sits in the central square of Mylopotamos on Kythira, beneath ancient plane trees and inside a historic stone building with its original flooring and a hand-painted wooden ceiling. Led by chef Nikos Loutfioglou, the kitchen celebrates traditional Kythiran cooking from local ingredients — rooster in wine sauce, lamb kleftiko, moussaka baked in a clay pot and beef stew with orzo.
